Big Days Out
Open to all members - but aimed mainly at our younger Sections.

Camperdown Park and Sensations Live Science Centre 
Open to all members, visiting Camperdown Park Wildlife Centre and Sensations Live Science Centre. A fun day out with a serious side, allowing progress to be made in Awards and Activity Badges.
 
December
Edinburgh pantomime 
A new Big day Out - a trip to see Jack and the Beanstalk at the Edinburgh KIng's Theatre.

Explorer Scout Summer Expedition - Japan
An exciting two-week trip to Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo

Scout Summer Camp - Great Tower Camp Site
A one-week ScoutSummer camp - in tents, with loads of on-site activities and local trips and visits.
 
August 2010
Explorer Scout Sleepover Night
Following on from our normal weekly meeting, a sleepover night for as many as want to stay! Next day will be an activity day for a pre-booked group - prepare to get wet!
 
September 2010
Explorer Scout 24
A one-day, 24 hour, non-stop adventure. Activities and challenges from 7.00pm to 7.00pm with no time to sleep!
 
October 2010
Group Activity Camp - Lochgoilhead Activity Centre
A five-day camp (indoor accommodation) at the Scout Association's excellent outdoor activities centre at Lochgoilhead. Activities ranging from canoeing, sailing, climbing, walking, archery, high ropes, raft buidling and more. Evening fun and social activities. Open to Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

Scout Group Summer Weekend
Yes, it's back. Mark your diaries for the holiday weekend. Bigger and better than ever! Our annual Summer Weekend at Fordell Firs, with loads of on-site activities and more. Watch for more details as the event gets nearer. Open to everyone, with Beaver Sleepovers included
 
July/August 2011
Group Summer Camp - France
Ardeche and Paris
An exciting Summer Camp opportunity, open to older Cubs and all Scouts, Explorers and Network members. One week at an Acorn Adventure Centre in the South of France - with activities ranging from a two-day canoe expedition through the river gorges, to caving, archery, high ropes,  PaddlePower canoe training, day trip into the local area and great social activities in the evenings. Return via Paris for a three-night stopover allowing a full day trip into the city and visits to three theme parks - Disneyland, Disney Movie Park and Parc Asterix. For Explorer Scouts, we hope there will be an added option to travel through Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and France, before meeting up with the main group at the activity centre.
